Tax Section Manager - Manufacture - Jakarta Timur (C-118629)

Our client is a Japanese manufacturing company currently seeking a Tax Section Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and file government tax returns for businesses and organizations.
  2. Ensure accurate and timely submission of all required tax documents.
  3. Review financial records, income statements, and expenditures to calculate taxable income.
  4. Provide tax planning strategies to minimize tax liability.
  5. Advise on tax-saving opportunities, such as deductions, credits, and investment strategies.
  6. Stay informed of changes in tax laws and assess their impact.
  7. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and laws.
  8. Maintain accurate tax records for audits and legal purposes.
  9. Keep detailed and organized financial records related to taxes.
  10. Track and manage income, deductions, and expenses throughout the year for tax purposes.
  11. Reconcile financial statements with tax reports to ensure accuracy (e.g., monthly VAT return with GL, AR movement with revenue in GL, COGS movement in tax return with GL).
  12. Assist in tax audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  13. Liaise with tax authorities (such as the IRS) to resolve disputes or issues.
  14. Advise on business decisions impacting taxes, such as mergers, acquisitions, and investments.
  15. Prepare and handle transfer pricing activities within the organization.
  16. Ensure transfer pricing policies align with the company's tax policies and comply with regulations.
  17. Analyze intercompany transactions to ensure transfer pricing is within arm’s length.
  18. Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  1. Minimum 5 years of experience as Tax Assistant Manager in any industry or experience as a Tax Consultant.
  2. Proficiency in Business English.
  3. Strong knowledge of Transfer Pricing and experience with APA.
