A leading company in the financial sector is seeking a Financial Manager to oversee budgeting, financial planning, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in finance, strong leadership skills, and proficiency in accounting software. This role involves collaboration with various departments to provide financial insights and ensure compliance with accounting standards. The position is based in Nigeria, with a focus on the pharmaceutical or consumer health industry.
Financial Planning & Analysis: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to ensure alignment with corporate goals. Prepare comprehensive financial reports for senior management and stakeholders, including analysis of competitors’ financial reports.
Accounting & Compliance: Manage all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and the general ledger. Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
Financial Reporting: Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Analyze variances and recommend corrective actions. Prepare reports for regulatory authorities as required.
Cash Flow & Working Capital Management: Monitor and manage cash flow, optimize working capital, and recommend strategies to improve liquidity and financial efficiency.
Internal Controls: Implement and monitor internal financial controls over expenses, assets, and financial data to ensure accuracy and minimize risks.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of finance and accounting professionals, fostering their development and maintaining high-performance standards.
Internal Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments (Operations, HR, Sales) to support business decisions with financial insights and recommendations.
Regulation Update and Implementation: Stay updated on new regulations and policies; ensure their implementation by mitigating risks, proposing solutions, and coordinating with relevant parties.
Requirements:
