Job Description

The Hotel Harbor / Port Representative plays an important role in providing a good experience to guests from the beginning by creating a seamless, memorable, and safe experience for all guests upon arrival at the port, during their stay, and when guests depart from the hotel.

  • Anticipate guest needs and exceed guest expectations.
  • Recognize and appreciate repeat guests and elite members.

Core Work Activities
  • Assist guests with embarkation and disembarkation processes, including port pickup and baggage assistance.
  • Arrange guest transportation between the port and the hotel.
  • Provide information about hotel facilities and services.
  • Handle guest issues such as delays or lost luggage.
  • Coordinate with the hotel to ensure guest needs are met.
  • Arrange VIP guest meetings and greetings.
  • Ensure guest safety and security during transit.
  • Manage guest luggage transfers within the specified timing.
  • Understand local areas, surroundings, and communities.
  • Respond professionally to guest inquiries.
  • Document additional instructions or information for arrivals and departures.
  • Understand standard operating procedures for luggage and goods storage.
  • Monitor hotel and surrounding area activities.
  • Provide information about local events and sightseeing, and assist with travel arrangements.
  • Upsell and cross-sell hotel products.
Qualifications
  • Vocational diploma or degree in hospitality is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience required.
  • Fluent in the national language and proficient in English; third-language skills are an advantage.
  • Recognized driving license held for at least 2 years.
  • Knowledge of local environment and surroundings.
