Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  1. To supervise a team consisting of Project Engineers, Co-ordinator, and Administrator for Subsea and CPD product lines, ensuring all Project deliverables are on-time, within agreed scope and to the correct quality, HSE requirements.
  2. Monitor the progress of projects both at shopfloor and on-site locations. Address problems, liaise with Production, Quality and other teams, vendors for timely completion of Projects and within budget. Where targets are not met, gather lessons learnt and drive changes to fix gaps.
  3. Perform contract review for jobs, review Sales Order. Approve shipping documents such as Delivery Order, Work completion order, Commercial Invoice and Packing list.
  4. Review creation of part numbers, work orders. Oversee the preparation of Production Schedule, Project plans in co-ordination with Planning Manager.
  5. Review and approve route sheets, shop pack, bill of materials, stencil sheet, for Subsea and CPD projects.
  6. Review and approve Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders for Subsea and CPD projects against corresponding work orders.
  7. Ensure Risk register, Critical Goods Register are updated periodically and maintained. Ensure adequate control is maintained over Subsea inventory.
  8. Prepare Subsea revenue forecast. Conduct regular Subsea revenue meetings. Follow-through on revenue targets. Initiate, monitor job closing.
  9. Oversee the review of inspection reports, disposition and finalize work scope for Subsea Projects.
  10. Review Subsea (Drilling products) Costing and Estimating sheet, provide technical and commercial guidance where required. Approve quotations and costing sheets.
  11. Strive to uphold internal and external customer satisfaction. Assist as necessary, in dealing with customer feedback, complaints. Proactively identify risks, potential problems and tackle them ahead.
  12. Assist Supply Chain group, SQE with maintaining existing suppliers and identify, develop new suppliers.
  13. Co-ordinate with customer on Project related matters and handle customer visits to shop floor. Liaise with visiting customers to discuss existing projects and new opportunities in sync with Subsea Sales Manager.
  14. Perform job cost analysis to reconcile actual versus target job margins. Work with other teams to optimize process performance, costs and bring about improvements in Quality, HSE.
  15. Prepare, update project related quality documents such as procedures, work instructions, ROMP etc. Provide technical training related to CPD and Subsea products to employees, as required.
  16. Ensure compliance with OIL STATES INDUSTRIES HSE Policies and HSE Management System.
  17. Ensure compliance with OIL STATES INDUSTRIES Quality Policies and Quality Management System.

Qualification Requirements :

Formal Education & Certification

  1. Diploma in Engineering and/or equivalent Energy industry skills certificate.
  2. PMI’s Project Management Professional credential or equivalent expected.

Knowledge & Experience

  1. 5 years’ experience in working with connector products, drilling products / subsea equipment and be familiar with repair of Subsea equipment.
  2. 7 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment and be familiar with manufacturing processes such as machining, welding and assembly & testing.
  3. To have 3 years management experience in leading a team.
  4. Certification in ISO 9001, API Q1, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 Auditor.
