Come join the dynamic Ready Resources (RR) Team

Ready Resources (RR) provides solutions to large mining clients across the Pilbara Region and is currently seeking the best Diesel Fitters for our Sugar Mill Project in Queensland, Australia.

Roles needed:

1. 10x Heavy Diesel Fitters

Roster:

Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts

Location:

Townsville, QLD

Tasks and Duties:

• Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of locomotive fleet and mobile plant, ensuring all equipment runs at peak performance.
• Contribute to safe, smooth, and efficient operations with a focus on safety.
• Conduct regular servicing and maintenance of diesel-powered trucks, tractors, and other heavy equipment.
• Participate in preventative maintenance, troubleshoot breakdowns, and assist with fault reporting and repairs.
• Provide leadership and support to apprentices and trainees, including task assignment, performance targets, and on-the-job training.
• Work with the Work Coordinator on cost control, scheduling, and performance assessments.
• Complete work orders and permits accurately, maintain timesheets and reports.
• Engage in team inspections, issue resolution, and process improvements.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• A Trade Qualification as a Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Diesel Fitter, or Light Vehicle Mechanic.
• A current manual driver’s license.
• Confined Space Entry certification.
• Working Safely at Heights certification.
• A valid passport.
• Willingness to relocate to Queensland, Australia.
