Job description

As a Junior Auditor, you will assist in performing financial audits and assurance engagements under the supervision of senior auditors. You will contribute to evaluating financial statements, internal controls, and business processes to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Your role will involve gathering and analyzing financial data, conducting audit testing, and preparing audit reports. Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

Assist in planning and executing financial audits in accordance with established standards and procedures.

Conduct tests of controls and substantive testing to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and identify potential financial risks.

Review and analyze financial statements, transactions, and accounting records to identify discrepancies and irregularities.

Participate in on-site visits and meetings with clients to gather necessary information and documentation.

Prepare workpapers, supporting schedules, and audit documentation in accordance with professional standards.

Collaborate with the audit team to develop recommendations for process improvements and risk mitigation.

Stay updated with changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry practices relevant to the assigned engagements.

Maintain effective communication and professional relationships with clients and team members.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Has basic accounting knowledge, journal entry.

Strong knowledge of auditing principles, accounting standards, and financial reporting.

Proficiency in using audit tools and software, as well as MS Excel, to analyze financial data and perform audit procedures.

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and assess risks and control weaknesses.

Detail-oriented mindset with a high degree of accuracy in reviewing and analyzing financial information.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to articulate findings and interact with clients and team members.

Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues and supporting senior auditors.

Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CIA are a plus but not mandatory.

Strong organizational skills to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
