The MFG team comprises top-tier digital, offline, and integrated media experts working together to enhance media’s contribution to Google’s business. MFG is powered by EssenceMediacom and other parts of GroupM globally.

About the role

As a member of the MFG APAC programmatic team, you will assist in executing the tactical planning, setup, and activation of programmatically purchased media campaigns across one or more countries via demand-side platforms (DSP) or self-service ad platforms. Campaign objectives can include branding (awareness, consideration, intent) and direct response (usage, acquisition, ROAS), utilizing real-time and guaranteed buying across open exchanges and direct publishers as needed.

Role responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  1. Supporting 1-2 markets/accounts directly.
  2. Owning the end-to-end management of one campaign at a time while assisting with others as needed.
  3. Focusing approximately 100% of time on individual campaign assignments.
  4. Supporting/owning the delivery of programmatic media plans, wrap-ups, and milestones using established best practices aligned with client strategies and timelines.
  5. Launching campaigns on time, ensuring compliance with platform best practices (naming conventions, IO/LI structure, frequency settings, prebid, etc.) without gating issues.
  6. Consistently delivering daily/weekly tasks such as pacing, reporting, and data integrity.
  7. Achieving campaign objectives by EOQ (KPIs, 65% viewability, 95% pacing) and flagging pacing issues promptly.
  8. Enhancing knowledge of media planning fundamentals (reach, frequency, channels, formats).
  9. Developing understanding of tactical essentials including inventory and data sources.
  10. Tracking campaign details meticulously (pacing, performance).
  11. Growing knowledge of related disciplines such as Data Strategy, Analytics, AdOps, and Experience.
  12. Understanding the programmatic/ad-tech ecosystem specific to APAC markets.
  13. Gaining insight into the overall campaign lifecycle and programmatic’s role within it.
  14. Communicating planning successes, issues, and escalations to line managers promptly.
  15. Prioritizing tasks effectively with minimal oversight, assessing cost/benefit to decide priorities.
Desired background experience:

Required:

  • A minimum qualification from a top-tier university or equivalent.
  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
  • Analytical skills and a passion for numbers; ability to analyze data, draw insights, and develop recommendations.
  • Proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets (pivot tables, Vlookups, etc.).
  • Interest in programmatic, ad, and mar-tech industries.
  • Passion for digital marketing and awareness of industry trends.

Desirable:

  • Experience with programmatic/ad-tech buy-side roles (agency, trading desk, DSP).
  • Experience deploying campaigns on enterprise DSPs (e.g., DV360, The Trade Desk, MediaMath).
  • Experience with Google stack tools.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as HTML, Javascript, SQL, Python, R.
