Job description

The ideal candidate is a driven and highly organized professional with a strong understanding of government procurement processes and the ability to build and maintain robust relationships with government officials and procurement officers. They possess a strategic mindset, are adept at identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, and have a proven track record of successfully managing government contracts.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop Sales Strategies: Formulate and implement effective sales strategies tailored to government clients to drive growth and achieve sales targets in the B2G sector.
  2. Government Contracts Management and Proposal Submission: Identify, pursue, and manage government contracts and procurement opportunities, ensuring compliance with regulations. Lead the preparation and submission of proposals, bids, and tenders to government agencies.
  3. Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with key government officials, procurement officers, and decision-makers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  4. Team Management and Market Analysis: Train and manage a team of sales representatives specializing in government sales. Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and understand government needs.
  5. Sales Forecasting and Compliance: Prepare and present accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to senior management. Ensure all sales activities comply with relevant legal regulations, government procurement policies, and company policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business
  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role within the B2G sector or similar. Proven track record of successfully securing government contracts.
