Production Manager Job Description

Oversee all production areas from raw material dispensary to finished goods packing.

Manage production planning and scheduling in alignment with marketing forecasts and sales demands.

Manage materials, machinery, and human resources to ensure that production targets are met efficiently.

Supervise inventory management for raw materials, finished goods, and packaging materials.

Implement and uphold quality management systems, including GMP, ISO 22000, HACCP, and relevant food safety standards.

Ensure that all products meet quality standards and comply with safety regulations.

Set and monitor production KPIs, including cost efficiency, machine utilization, and product quality.

Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly reports on production performance, material usage, and efficiency metrics.

Lead, coach, and mentor production team members, promoting a safe and productive work environment.

Collaborate with other departments such as Quality Control, Technical, and PPIC to meet organizational objectives.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the production line.

Foster a culture of safety and environmental compliance, maintaining a zero-incident environment.

Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) for all production processes.

The role may require managing a substantial team, including several production supervisors and frontline workers.

A commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety, and environmental practices in all production activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• Minimum of 8 years of leadership experience in food manufacturing, with a proven track record of success in a senior production management role.
• Fluency in English or Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
• Deep understanding of food safety regulations, quality management systems, and lean manufacturing principles.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing production budgets.
• Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to drive change, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and build high-performing teams.
