Job description

Yayasan Habitat Kemanusiaan Indonesia is seeking motivated applicants for the position of Director of Resource Development (RD). The RD is responsible for crafting and executing a fundraising strategy aligned with Habitat Indonesia’s strategic plan, program priorities, and organizational mission. The role includes managing donor portfolios, driving revenue growth, and collaborating with key stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Strategic Leadership: Contribute to the overall strategy as part of the Senior Management Team, working closely with the National Director and Program Directors to ensure alignment and a program-driven fundraising approach. Engage the National Board of Directors.
  2. Fundraising Strategy: Implement diversified fundraising strategies across various channels including high-net-worth individuals, foundations, institutional donors, private sector, and MNCs. Innovate with approaches like digital fundraising and funding models that ensure ROI.
  3. Team Leadership: Build and lead the RD team, oversee revenue quotas, maintain the fundraising pipeline, and guide fundraising events and initiatives.
  4. Relationship Management: Serve as the key point of contact for donors and partners, cultivating relationships with priority donors and expanding the donor base.
  5. Collaboration with Global/Regional Teams: Work with the global foundation and institutional fundraising teams to develop funding pipelines, and coordinate with regional teams and communications for strategy and materials.
  6. Proposal Development: Lead the development and submission of major funding proposals, including high-value and unsolicited opportunities, and ensure timely reporting to donors.
  7. People/Resource/Budget Management: Mentor the RD team, oversee budgeting, and ensure effective resource management.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related fields; Master’s preferred.
  • 10+ years in fundraising/business development/resource mobilization, with experience in international non-profits or development firms.
  • At least 7 years leading a fundraising team, preferably in Asia and the Pacific.
  • Proven track record of raising over USD 10 million from various sources.
  • Strong network with institutional and corporate donors is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Proficient with CRM tools like Salesforce.
  • Strong ethical leadership and integrity.
  • Excellent proposal writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Effective presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia, verbal and written.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
