A leading company in Bali is seeking a Quantity Surveyor (Civil) to oversee the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects. Job Description:
The in-house Quantity Surveyor (Civil) will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. The role involves cost planning, estimating, budgeting, contract administration, and ensuring value for money while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
A.Cost Estimation & Budgeting:
·Prepare initial cost estimates and detailed budgets based on architectural and engineering drawings.
·Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for new projects.
B.Tendering & Procurement:
·Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities (BOQs), and other documentation.
·Assist in contractor and vendor evaluation, selection, and negotiations.
C.Contract Management:
·Administer contracts, manage variations, claims, and change orders.
·Monitor contract compliance and ensure deliverables align with agreed terms.
D.Project Cost Control:
·Monitor ongoing project costs to ensure alignment with budget.
·Evaluate progress payments and prepare monthly cost reports.
·Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
E.Valuation & Payments:
·Prepare valuations for interim and final payments to contractors and suppliers.
·Ensure accurate measurement of quantities for work done on-site.
F.Reporting & Documentation:
·Maintain proper records related to project finances, contracts, and procurement.
·Generate periodic cost and progress reports for senior management.
G.Collaboration:
·Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and site teams.
·Liaise with external consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
Requirements:
·Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
·Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying for civil construction projects.
·Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, legal regulations, and cost control processes.
·Proficiency in QS software (e.g., CostX, Candy, AutoCAD, MS Excel).
·Familiarity with FIDIC or local standard forms of contract.
·Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
·Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
·Based in Bali or willing to move to Bali
