Data Center Operation Technician, Data Center Operations

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers, including servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment, ensuring continuous access for our customers. We work on challenging problems with many variables impacting the supply chain and seek talented individuals to join us.

You will join a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and others. Your role involves collaborating across AWS to uphold safety and security standards while providing extensive capacity at low costs. Data Center Operations involves designing, installing, and maintaining large-scale computing infrastructure, including systems repair, issue resolution, parts management, and maintenance support. Amazon Data Centers are high-density environments where you'll contribute to technological advancements in the region.

Key job responsibilities

1. Manage the hardware lifecycle of our IT infrastructure on-site, including server rack installation, hardware troubleshooting, and network issue resolution.
2. Respond to trouble tickets, perform hardware break-fix tasks, and meet SLAs as the first point of contact for technical issues.
3. Participate in scheduled maintenance, change management, and on-call duties, ensuring operational stability.
4. Engage in team meetings for metrics analysis and to achieve operational goals.
5. Adhere to safety and security policies, applying knowledge appropriately.
6. Contribute to documentation and process improvements based on root cause analysis.
7. Support training for less experienced team members as needed.
