Job Description: Handyman/Fitter for Villa Maintenance and Repair

Position Title: Handyman

Location: Bali, Indonesia - UBUD, PANDAVA, MELASTI, and on 2025 Canggu

Reports To: MECHANIC/ENGINEER

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

The Handyman will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and general upkeep of a company villa complex on the island of Bali. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, addressing emergency repairs, and ensuring that all mechanical, plumbing, and other systems function optimally. The Handyman will collaborate with the DPT Manager to ensure all villas are in excellent condition, providing a safe and comfortable environment for guests and residents.

Key Responsibilities

1. Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of all villas and common areas to identify and address maintenance needs. Perform general repairs such as fixing leaks, repairing doors, windows, and other structural components. Maintain and service electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure proper operation. Report to Mechanic/Engineer following technical instructions.
2. Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for all villas and equipment. Perform routine checks and servicing to prevent breakdowns and costly repairs. Ensure safety and compliance regulations are met, including fire alarms, smoke detectors, and safety equipment. Report to Mechanic/Engineer, Electrical, and Security teams.
3. Emergency Repairs: Respond promptly to urgent repair requests, coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs, and minimize disruption to residents and guests during repairs.
4. Equipment and Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies. Keep records of maintenance activities and repairs. Order supplies to avoid delays.
5. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the Mechanical Engineer to prioritize maintenance tasks. Communicate with residents and guests via the Lobby/Reception staff regarding maintenance activities and timelines. Provide updates on maintenance status and issues.
6. General Duties: Assist the Gardening and Pool Maintenance Teams with landscaping and pool upkeep. Ensure work areas are clean, safe, and organized after any work. Report unsafe conditions or staff to the Mechanic/Engineer and Tech Department Manager. Perform other duties as assigned. In emergencies, assist residents/guests in evacuating via designated routes in coordination with staff.
