Responsibilities:
- Guide the end-to-end design process for your product area from discovery to delivery, ensuring a high standard of UX and UI design.
- Lead, coach, and support a team of product designers, helping them grow in craft and career.
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Research teams to define problem spaces, co-create solutions, and deliver value to users.
- Champion the use of design systems to ensure scalable and consistent experiences across platforms.
- Leverage user insights and data to drive decisions and improve usability, accessibility, and satisfaction.
- Set a high bar for design execution, providing thoughtful feedback to enhance the team's output quality.
- Contribute to improving design processes and rituals, enabling the team to work more effectively in fast-paced environments.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 7 years of experience in product design, with 2–3 years in a leadership or people management role.
- Proven success in mentoring and managing designers, focusing on growth, inclusion, and team well-being.
- Ability to translate complex problems into simple, elegant user experiences that drive impact.
- Comfort working cross-functionally and navigating ambiguity with product and engineering partners.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating deep user understanding, visual design skills, and knowledge of design systems.
- Experience working in high-growth, fast-paced environments with the ability to prioritize and pivot as needed.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills to present work, rationale, and strategic thinking effectively.
