Job summary

ICL seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide direct care in a residential setting for adults with developmental disabilities. You will assist with daily living activities, support skill development, and promote independence under supervision.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, a DSP certificate, and certifications such as AMAP, SCIP-R, and CPR/First Aid within six months. This part-time role offers comprehensive benefits and a 16-hour weekly schedule.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Direct Support Professional (DSP) Certificate from an accredited organization.
• Experience: Direct care for adults with disabilities preferred.
• Certifications / Licenses: AMAP, SCIP‑R, CPR and First Aid; NYS Driver’s License; work authorization in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting.
• Assist with daily living needs and support development of vocational, social, nutritional, and personal skills.
• Perform routine tasks based on the individuals' abilities and setting.
• Administer medications per AMAP; monitor health and attend medical appointments.
• Promote independence, safety, and community integration; participate in planning and training.
• Document progress and report to supervisors; respond to emergencies.
