An established industry player is seeking a skilled structural drafter to support their engineering and construction teams. This role involves preparing detailed construction drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating closely with project managers and engineers. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, along with proficiency in AutoCAD and knowledge of architectural design. Structural drafters to support the structural engineers and construction team by preparing construction drawings for structural and architectural work.
Knowledge of architectural design
Must know how to operate and draw in AutoCAD
Relevant job experience in oil and gas/offshore/marine industry required
Experience and knowledge in drafting different types of steel joints, both welded and bolted
Proficiency in E3D, Tekla or Revit is a plus
Certification or training in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools) is preferred
Ability to work independently and in a team
Must know how to operate MS Office (minimum Word and Excel)
Willing to learn new activities and have a positive attitude
Ensure that all structural drawings meet industry standards, local regulations, and client specifications.
Assist engineers in modifying designs, updating drawings, and ensuring that all changes are documented correctly.
Revise drawings promptly to reflect change orders or adjustments made during project execution.
Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
Coordination with Project Managers and Engineers for preparation of technical drawings and submission approval.
Prepare material take-off.
Prepare general drawings.
Prepare shop fabrication drawing for structural steel works (both welded and bolted joints).
Prepare cutting plan for material procurement.
Prepare other drawing, fabrication, and installation works as required by QA/QC and Engineers.
Strong knowledge of structural design principles, including materials, load calculations, and construction techniques specific to the oil and gas industry.
Ad-hoc duties as and when assigned including related site matters not mentioned above.
Understand project design, quality, and construction specifications.
