Monroe Consulting Group partners with a consumer-organisation to hire an Operations Director based in Cikupa, Tangerang. You will lead end-to-end manufacturing operations across footwear facilities, driving efficiency, quality, and profitability while scaling production lines for growth plans.

The role requires 15+ years in operations management within footwear or garments, a mechanical engineering background, and strong English communication to lead diverse teams across locations.

Monroe Consulting Group, an Executive Recruitment firm, is partnering with an organisation in the Consumer industry to hire an Operations Director. This opportunity is based in Cikupa, Tangerang.

Position Overview

Lead and oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations across multiple footwear production facilities, ensuring operational excellence, quality, and profitability.
Drive factory expansion, production efficiency, maintenance optimisation, and team performance to support the organisation's growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations including production, maintenance, quality control, and PPIC, ensuring efficiency, quality standards, and profitability.
• Develop and implement operational strategies that drive performance improvement, cost control, and productivity across all departments.
• Hands‑on leadership to ensure all operational activities are managed effectively and that the team follows best practices.
• Control all aspects of production ensuring on‑time delivery, optimising resources, and reducing waste.
• Ensure machinery maintenance and optimisation as the biggest asset, working closely with the maintenance team to avoid downtime.
• Lead the setup and expansion of new production lines as part of the company's expansion plans for the following year, with frequent travel to ensure smooth operations in all locations.
• Work closely with cross‑functional teams in production, planning, and quality assurance to ensure all manufacturing processes are efficient and scalable.
• Implement quality control systems that meet the company's high standards for footwear products.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to a diverse team, fostering a positive, collaborative, and high‑performance culture.

Key Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• 15+ years of experience in operations management within the footwear or garment manufacturing industry.
• A strong background in production setup is highly preferred, especially with experience in establishing production processes from the ground up.
• Experience managing operations in footwear accessories manufacturing is an added advantage.

Technical / Functional Expertise

• Solid understanding of machine maintenance and production line management.
• Mechanical Engineering background is preferable due to the heavy machinery involved in the production process.
• Demonstrated ability to develop operational strategies that improve efficiency, control costs, and enhance productivity.
• Experience overseeing production, maintenance, quality control, and PPIC functions.
• Ability to lead factory expansion projects and establish new production lines.
• Must be fluent in English with strong communication skills to manage teams across different regions.
• Adaptable and mobile, with willingness to travel between locations as required by operational and expansion needs.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team, including leading under female leadership.
