Job summary

A leading resort in Bali is seeking a Director of HR to develop and execute comprehensive human resource strategies. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in luxury hospitality, strong leadership skills, and expertise in local labor laws. Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience as Director of HR in a luxury resort.
  • Strong knowledge of Indonesian labor law and industrial relations.
  • Fluency in English required.

Job description

Job Description

  • Develop and execute comprehensive human resource strategies aligned with the resort’s business goals.
  • Lead and manage the resort’s full Human Resources functions in the resorts : talent acquisition, employee relations, training & development, performance management, compensation & benefits, and HR compliance.
  • Drive organizational development initiatives and foster a strong, service-oriented workplace culture.
  • Act as a strategic business partner to General Manager, Executive Committee, and department heads.
  • Drive performance management systems, including setting KPIs, conducting appraisals, and supporting development plans.
  • Utilize HRIS and data analytics to monitor trends, generate reports, and inform decision-making.
  • Ensure all HR policies and procedures comply with Indonesian labor laws, health and safety regulations, and internal standards
  • Champion employee engagement, diversity & inclusion, and staff well-being initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as Director of HR in a 5-star hotel or luxury resort environment in Indonesia.
  • Strong knowledge of Indonesian labour law, industrial relations, and expatriate work permit processes.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • High emotional intelligence, cultural sensitivity, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and HR data analytics.
  • Fluent in English
  • Willing to be based in Umana by LXR Hilton in Ungasan, Bali.
