Job summary

Job Expert in Jakarta is seeking a senior IT Strategy & Transformation consultant with a decade or more in Strategy/Operations or banking consulting. You will lead IT strategy, architecture and operating model design, and drive large-scale technology transformation programs for major clients in the banking sector.

Fluency in English is required, and the role involves regional travel to collaborate with partners, directors and stakeholders across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Technology, IT, Business, Economics, Engineering or related studies.
• Over 10 years in Strategy/Operations or banking consulting; at least 2 years in senior management.
• Mixed management consulting & industry background.
• Strong IT strategy experience for banks: IT strategy, architecture & operating model design.
• Cloud strategy and transformation; delivery of large technology transformation programs; digital banking projects.
• Excellent written and spoken English (TOEIC 800, IELTS 6.5).
• Willingness to travel within the region.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT strategy, architecture and operating model design for client programs.
• Shape IT transformation initiatives and run the Transformation Office as needed.
• Develop and execute cloud strategy and platform roadmaps.
• Support large banking IT programs from due diligence to value delivery.
• Build lasting relationships with partners, directors, managers, consultants, stakeholders and clients.

Education

Bachelor's degree or higher in Technology, IT, Business, Economics, Engineering or related studies.

• IT Strategy Development: Assist clients in developing a technology strategy and roadmap that aligns with and supports their key business priorities, unlocking business value.
• IT Operating Model: Support senior IT leadership or business sponsor in developing an IT Operating Model, outlining the strategic aims of the organisation, defining the various components of the IT function (e.g. roles, governance, processes, controls, and tools).
• Application Rationalisation and Architecture: work with clients to assess the application landscape and define the target state architecture and platform roadmaps to deliver business objectives. Identify how the next-gen technologies can be deployed to deliver their value proposition
• IT Transformation: Shaping clients major IT Transformation program and running the Transformation Office to deliver business and technology initiatives.
• IT M&A: Working on large international M&A deals (mergers, acquisitions, carve outs etc.) covering due diligence, day 1 strategy, planning, operating model, architecture, and post day 1 optimisation and value delivery.
• IT Sourcing: working with clients to optimise their service delivery models, identifying and executing sourcing options for them.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Technology, IT, Business, Economics, Engineering or related studies.
• Over 10 years of work experience in Strategy/Operations planning or consulting role in the Banking industry. **At least 2 years in senior management position.
• A mixed management consulting & industry background.
• Strong experience in IT strategy for banks with exposure to one or more of the following areas:
• IT Strategy, Architecture & Operating Model Design
• Cloud strategy and transformation
• Delivery of large technology transformation programs.
• Digital banking projects & techsolutions
• Excellent written and spoken English (TOEIC 800, IELTS 6.5)
• A fit to consulting lifestyle and ability to travel within the region.
