The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales Representative to join our team in Direct Transport Sales Indonesia/West & East Region. The primary responsibility of this role is to develop and expand our market in East Indonesia especially Semarang. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background and be capable of building relationships with clients and driving business growth in the Beneficial Cargo Owner sector.

Location: Semarang, Indonesia (preferably)

In this position, the incumbent will have the opportunity to:

  • Build, grow, and drive our business in the growing and dynamic market
  • Learn Persuasive Selling Model and acquire Sales Operating Standard
  • Gain an in-depth knowledge of different ocean and logistics products, yield management, pricing mechanism, and profitability analysis
  • Develop skills to balance short-term tactical considerations and long-term strategic planning
  • Further develop negotiation and stakeholder management skills – both with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Benefit from sales reward system (Sales Incentive Program, Sales Master Award)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the market territory and segment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase market share and achieve sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions to meet those needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of services.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform business strategies.
  • Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to management.

We are looking for:

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the ocean shipping line or logistics industry.
  • Strong understanding of the container shipping line market and related services.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets and sales operation standard (CRM).
  • Proficiency in English and Indonesian (both written and spoken).
