A leading technology company in Kota Batu is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Director to lead operations in Malaysia. This role includes oversight of assembly and test engineering, development of manufacturing processes, and team management. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in engineering and manufacturing, strong leadership skills, and the ability to foster collaboration across global teams. This position offers a hybrid work model that includes on-site and remote work flexibility.
The Manufacturing Engineering team will be part of Global Operations. This function will partner with the Operations team in Malaysia to deliver Operations Excellence, driving high quality, productivity and cost effective performance in the safest environment.
The Manufacturing Engineering Director will be responsible for leading the Manufacturing Engineering (ME) Operations at Lam Manufacturing Malaysia, reporting to Operations Director/ Senior. Mainly responsible for Assembly & Test Engineering of Wafer Fabrication Equipment (WFE), Industrial Engineering, Fixture Design and Work Instructions Software Engineering. Oversees the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes and operations for new and existing products. Ensures the effective use of materials, equipment, and personnel in producing quality products at minimum costs. Develops systems to maintain reports and record keeping of company products. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
