Job summary

Pensieve in Indonesia is seeking a DevOps Engineer who owns and scales our cloud infrastructure, automating CI/CD, running Kubernetes, and keeping systems reliable, secure, and high-performing on GCP.

You will design, implement, and maintain IaC using Terraform or Ansible, build pipelines with ArgoCD, FluxCD, Jenkins, deploy on GCP, and collaborate with software engineers to uphold DevOps and cloud security best practices.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of DevOps or cloud engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with GCP in production environments.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Ansible.
• CI/CD pipelines using ArgoCD, FluxCD, Jenkins, or similar.
• Kubernetes deployment and management experience.
• Certifications in Kubernetes or cloud platforms are a plus.
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python).
• Good understanding of Linux, networking, and cloud security basics.
• Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain reliable and scalable infrastructure using IaC (Terraform/Ansible).

• Deploy and optimize infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and manage Kubernetes clusters.

• Monitor performance, availability, and security; address issues proactively.
• Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and runbooks.

Job description

We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer who owns and scales our cloud infrastructure—automating CI/CD, running Kubernetes, and keeping systems reliable, secure, and high-performing on GCP.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain reliable and scalable infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.

Build, operate, and improve CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes using tools like ArgoCD, FluxCD, Jenkins, or equivalent.

Deploy, manage, and optimize infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (AWS exposure is a plus).

Operate and maintain Kubernetes clusters (cloud or on-premise), including deployments, upgrades, monitoring, and incident troubleshooting.

Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual work.

Work closely with software engineers to ensure applications are deployed and run according to DevOps and GCP best practices.

Monitor system performance, availability, and security, and proactively address issues.

Maintain clear and up-to-date technical documentation and runbooks.

Take ownership of and maintain critical services and CI/CD pipelines, driving improvements and resolving escalated issues.

Requirements

2+ years of experience as a DevOps / Infrastructure / Cloud Engineer.

Hands‑on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining GCP infrastructure in production environments.

Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or Ansible).

Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as ArgoCD, FluxCD, Jenkins, or similar.

Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, including deploying and managing workloads.

AWS/GCP/Azure certifications are a plus

Kubernetes certification (e.g. CKA or CKAD) is preferred.

Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, or similar).

Familiarity with Playwright is a plus.

Good understanding of Linux, networking, and cloud security basics.

Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.

Good English proficiency and fluency in Bahasa Indonesia.
