DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Integrate security best practices into the DevOps pipeline, ensuring secure software delivery.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation strategies.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to design and implement security solutions.
• Ensure infrastructure resources are delivered efficiently through an agile process by engaging with the Engineering Team.
• Design, build, and maintain infrastructure to ensure reliability, scalability, high availability, and performance.
• Maintain and improve infrastructure deployment processes.
• Work closely with development teams to maintain services.
• Automate security processes, including vulnerability scanning and incident response.
• Monitor security metrics and prepare reports for stakeholders.
• Stay updated on the latest security trends, threats, and technologies.
• Respond to security incidents and lead post-incident investigations.
• Provide training and guidance on security best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
• Proficiency with DevOps and security tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and security scanning tools.
• Experience in vulnerability assessment and mitigation.
• Ability to embed security protocols into the DevOps pipeline.
• Skills in incident response and security incident management.
• Expertise in automating security processes and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with cloud security and platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Understanding of hardware and networking (IPMI, VPN, proxy, TCP/IP, routing).
• Advanced knowledge of MariaDB/MySQL and MongoDB.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash).
• Experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools.
• Knowledge of security compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
• Leadership skills to guide and mentor teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills for diverse stakeholders.
• Attention to detail in security vulnerability management.
• Ability to collaborate and foster a security-aware culture.
