Overview
Job Purpose: Support the Head of Design in leading, managing, and overseeing the creative and technical aspects of the design team, ensuring high-quality outputs that align with company standards and client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head of Design in managing daily operations of the design department.
- Supervise and mentor junior and senior designers to maintain design quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (project management, marketing, engineering, etc.) to ensure design objectives are met.
- Review, approve, and provide feedback on design proposals, drawings, and presentations.
- Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and revision processes to meet deadlines efficiently.
- Drive innovation by researching and implementing new design trends, tools, and methodologies.
- Support in resource allocation, recruitment, and performance evaluation within the design team.
- Step in as acting Head of Design when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Graphic Design, or related field.
- Proven experience in a senior design leadership role (5+ years preferred).
- Strong creative vision combined with practical project management skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant design software and visualization tools.
