Job summary

Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) seeks an experienced strategist to shape the technology roadmap for AI-enabled financial services. You will define long-term architecture, assess new AI and data technologies, and build consensus among banks, tech firms, researchers and public-sector partners.

Responsibilities include developing reference architectures, advancing interoperability and digital identity, and advising on national AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in technology strategy, enterprise architecture, digital transformation, technology consulting, innovation, or related fields within financial services, technology, consulting or the public sector.
• Strong understanding of AI, data and digital technologies, including emerging trends, capabilities and their implications for financial services.
• Ability to assess emerging technologies and translate technical developments into industry strategies, infrastructure priorities and practical recommendations.
• Experience developing technology roadmaps, target-state architectures, digital transformation strategies or large-scale technology initiatives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate technology opportunities, trade-offs and risks from both business and policy perspectives.
• Experience engaging senior stakeholders across industry, technology providers, academia and government agencies.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong writing skills, with experience preparing strategy papers, briefing materials and presentations for senior management.

What the role is

Artificial intelligence is creating new opportunities to enhance productivity, strengthen risk management and enable new forms of financial services. To support the responsible adoption of AI across the financial sector, the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) works with financial institutions, AI firms, FinTechs, technology providers, academia and public-sector partners to develop the capabilities, partnerships and enabling frameworks needed to translate advances in AI into meaningful industry outcomes.

Within MAS, the Financial Infrastructure & Artificial Intelligence Office (FIA) leads initiatives that strengthen the foundations for AI innovation in financial services. This includes ecosystem development, strategic partnerships, data and digital infrastructure, industry capability building, and national-level initiatives that support the safe, trusted and effective use of AI across the financial sector.

What you will be working on

This role focuses on shaping the long-term technology strategy and architecture needed to support AI innovation across Singapore's financial sector. Working with financial institutions, AI firms, technology providers, academia and public-sector partners, you will assess emerging technologies, identify future infrastructure needs, and develop strategic roadmaps that support the responsible adoption of AI.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Technology Strategy: Assess emerging AI, data and digital infrastructure technologies and their implications for the financial sector

• Future-State Architecture: Develop strategic roadmaps and reference architectures for future financial-sector capabilities

• Industry Standards & Interoperability: Advance approaches to interoperability, digital identity, data exchange and trusted AI adoption

• Industry Engagement: Engage financial institutions, technology firms, researchers and public-sector agencies to build consensus on future technology priorities

• Strategic Advisory: Provide technical input to industry-development, policy and national AI initiatives

What we are looking for

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in technology strategy, enterprise architecture, digital transformation, technology consulting, innovation, or related fields within financial services, technology, consulting or the public sector

You will be working in a fast-paced environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and needs of stakeholders, as well as the agility to respond to changes and developments.
