GarudaFood is a food and beverage company subordinated to Tudung Group. In addition to GarudaFood, Tudung Group also includes Agribusiness companies operating in the Crude Palm Oil field and Peanuts.
GarudaFood Group originated from PT Tudung, which was established in Pati, Central Java. In December 1997, PT GarudaFood Jaya (GFJ) was established, producing Gery-branded biscuits. Gery Saluut earned the Indonesian Best Brand Award (IBBA) from MARS and SWA Magazine from 2005-2010 in the wafer category. Gery Chocolatos also earned IBBA in the wafer stick category from 2007-2010.
In 1998, GarudaFood acquired PT Triteguh Manunggal Sejati (TRMS), a producer of jelly, and launched jelly products under the brands Okky and Keffy. Okky jelly has been recognized with several awards, including the Top Brand for Kids (TBK) Award in 2004.
GarudaFood has also launched various beverage products, including Mountea, a fruit-flavored tea beverage that received the IBBA award from 2007-2010. Additionally, GarudaFood produces snacks under the Leo brand, known for potato chips, banana chips, and cassava chips.
GarudaFood is regarded as one of the admired food and beverage companies in Indonesia. A survey by Frontier and BusinessWeek Indonesia Magazine ranked GarudaFood as the third Most Admired Company (IMAC) from 2006-2010.
To support its vision, in 2011, GarudaFood Group established a subsidiary, PT Garuda Suntory Beverage, with the non-alcohol division of Suntory Beverage & Food from Japan, focusing on beverage development.
