Job summary

APP Group in Indonesia seeks an Operator, DCS for the Paper Machine to ensure safe, efficient production in line with SOPs. You will monitor temperature, speed, pressure and humidity, adjust machine settings per paper type, and help maintain product quality.

Requirements include a minimum Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering; prior experience in an industrial setting (paper mill preferred); strong mechanical aptitude, teamwork, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma or bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial or related major.
• Experience operating and maintaining machinery in an industrial setting, preferably in a paper mill.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of paper manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and equipment monitoring.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and procedures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, nights and weekends.
• Placement in Tjiwi Kimia Mills, Mojokerto.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently according to established SOPs.
• Monitor and control parameters such as temperature, speed, pressure and humidity to ensure production and quality.
• Adjust and tune machine settings based on paper type and customer specifications.
• Conduct regular inspections of machinery and related equipment for issues or maintenance needs.
• Prepare daily reports on operational outcomes, including machine performance, paper quality and energy consumption.
• Coordinate with maintenance technicians for repairs and routine maintenance of paper machine equipment.
• Adhere to workplace safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Optimize energy and steam usage to reduce environmental impact while complying with sustainability standards.
• Contribute to continuous efforts to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
