Job summary

JAPFA seeks a dedicated driver to safely transport DOD (Day Old Chicks) and other goods across Indonesia. You will ensure well-being of livestock, follow delivery schedules, and comply with company policies and road regulations.

Responsibilities include vehicle inspections, log maintenance, loading/unloading, and clear communication with dispatch and customers. A valid SIM B1/B2, high school diploma, and experience in livestock transport are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Possession of a valid and appropriate driving license (SIM B1 or B2 for commercial vehicles) for Indonesia.
• Proven experience as a professional driver, with specific experience in transporting livestock or sensitive cargo preferred, especially DOD.
• Excellent knowledge of Indonesian traffic laws and regulations.
• Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically fit and able to lift and carry moderate weights.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently transport DOD (Day Old Chicks) and other goods as assigned, ensuring their well-being and timely delivery.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking fluid levels, tires, lights, and other essential components.
• Maintain accurate daily logs of mileage, fuel consumption, delivery times, and any incidents.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and transportation regulations.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and customers regarding delivery schedules, potential delays, or issues.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning the vehicle interior and exterior.
• Report any vehicle malfunctions, accidents, or incidents promptly to management.
