Job Description

• Bring a strong technical background in MariaDB or MySQL
• Collaborate effectively with other DBAs and team members
• Focus on monitoring and reporting; performance tuning and ETL; high availability and disaster recovery; release management
• Support, maintain, and administer the database
• Participate in planning, design, and migration to cloud-based solutions
• Manage multiple environments: Production, Disaster Recovery, UAT, Testing, and Development
• Work closely with IT functions and business teams to promptly address and resolve requests
• Develop and implement disaster recovery (DR) and high availability (HA) solutions
• Establish a disaster recovery plan for all production systems
• Maintain a strong customer service focus and follow best practices for change and release management

The Successful Applicant

• Minimum 2 years' experience in MariaDB or MySQL database administration.
• Proficient in MariaDB or MySQL management.
• Ability to ensure database performance, security, and availability.
• Experience in preparing documentation and specifications.
• Competency in profiling server resource usage and making performance optimizations.
• Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries.
• Skilled in Linux shell scripting for maintenance and automation.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide architectural and design recommendations to optimize performance with MySQL/MariaDB.
• Highly adaptable and open to learning.
• Basic understanding of Linux OS (RedHat) and command-line use.
• Good command of English.
