Your day at NTT DATA

The Managed Services Cross Technology Engineer (L1) is an entry-level engineering role responsible for providing managed services to clients. The role involves ensuring IT infrastructure and systems remain operational by proactively identifying, investigating, and resolving technical incidents and problems, and restoring service to clients by managing incidents to resolution.

The primary objective is to ensure zero missed service level agreement conditions. The role focuses on first-line support for standard and low complexity incidents and service requests across two or more technology domains such as Cloud, Security, Networking, Applications, and Collaboration.

The Engineer may also contribute to/support project work as required.

What You'll Be Doing

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 - 3 years of experience or fundamental database knowledge.
• Proficiency in database management systems such as Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server.
• Experience in database design, implementation, and maintenance.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively on project-based tasks.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Relevant certifications in database administration or related fields.

Responsibilities:

• Performance tuning, integrity, and security of databases.
• Manage server installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Design backup processes for servers and data.
• Create user accounts and assign security levels.
• Manage database migration and upgrades.
