Job description

Job Responsibilities
  1. Drive sales and solutioning of data science/analytics engagements.
  2. Manage and/or supervise project delivery.
  3. Mentor teams, build new capabilities, support/contribute to thought leadership, and develop new skills.
  4. Work seamlessly with client teams to position data science/analytical capabilities and drive data science/analytics engagements.
  5. Address challenges of using statistics in a business setting, such as incomplete data, biased data, large data sets, low signal-to-noise ratios, high variance, and multiple objective functions.
  6. Utilize traditional statistical methodologies along with newer techniques from computational statistics, data mining, and big data capabilities.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, computer science, applied math, physics, or relevant fields, or 3+ years of experience in a quantitative/computational discipline.
  • Strong background in statistical concepts and calculations.
  • 5+ years of experience working with real data.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with innovative and strong analytical abilities.
  • 5+ years of experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ruby, Perl, Bash) for data manipulation and orchestration.
  • Experience with statistical computing tools like R, SAS, and SPSS.
  • Data engineering experience, including SQL and manipulating structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Proficiency in statistical software packages such as R, SAS, SPSS, etc.
  • Experience with programming languages like Python and R.
  • Knowledge of machine learning solutions such as TensorFlow, IBM Watson, etc.
  • Experience with visualization tools like Tableau, Qlik, D3, etc.
  • Experience with database management systems such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL.
  • Good understanding of machine learning techniques like Neural Networks, Random Forest, etc.
  • Willingness to meet travel requirements, if applicable.
  • Proven success in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work creatively and analytically in problem-solving scenarios.
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral), and interpersonal skills.
