Job summary

Traveloka is seeking a data scientist to collaborate with business and product teams to translate challenges into modeling approaches and data-driven solutions. You will develop and evaluate ranking or optimization models, iterating with ML engineering to ship production-ready systems.

The role requires 3–5 years in data science, strong Python and SQL skills, and experience with LLM-based systems and econometrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Data Science or a related role.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Familiar with LLM-based systems (embeddings, structured extraction).
• Experience in ranking, recommendation, or search relevance.
• Familiar with Causal Inference or Econometrics.
• Experience in Optimization Techniques or Simulation.
• Strong Python and ML/Stats libraries (scikit-learn, LGBM, XGBoost, etc.).
• Proficient in SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
• Proactive, self-motivated, independent on ambiguous problems.
• Comfortable working with AI tools (Claude Code) to accelerate development.
