Job summary

BimBuildings invites a data science intern to work on 3D data from LiDAR scans, focusing on computer vision and semantic segmentation. You will contribute to building workflows that convert scans to BIM geometries, train AI models, and prepare visualizations to communicate results.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled or graduating soon in AI/CS/math/statistics or related field.
• Experience in Python and preferably C++.
• Experience with PyTorch and TensorFlow is desirable.
• Familiar with LiDAR, 3D data and computer vision concepts.
• Knowledge of Linux, Docker, and cloud processing (Azure/AWS).
• EU citizen or work permit for the Netherlands is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist training and testing of AI models for semantic segmentation on LiDAR/3D data.
• Process model outputs to create visualizations and graphs for research progress.
• Document progress and results to share with team and stakeholders.
