Job summary

BINUS is seeking a data analyst intern to support BI dashboards, data warehouse, and reporting initiatives in Jakarta. You will collaborate with IT and business units to fulfill data needs and ensure data quality.

Responsibilities include gathering user requirements, maintaining ETL data flows, documenting dashboards, and enforcing security requirements across BI processes. This role emphasizes learning and adapting to evolving business environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum university student (6th semester) or bachelor degree in Computer Science or related Data Science fields (e.g., Math, Statistics, Information System).
• Minimum 1 year working exposure/experience.
• Special Skills/Certification: DBMS, SQL, Python; Web Services Administration (system and application).

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements and prepare BI dashboard reports.
• Maintain data synchronization with ETL tools and ensure data security and accuracy.
• Develop and document BI dashboards, data warehouse, and Big Data processes.
• Protect corporate data and support production and development environments.
• Plan and deliver user training and adapt data structures to new business environments.

Job description

• Identify requirements user.
• Identify high-level business rules for data model and query.
• Adapt conceptual and logical data models to enterprise model.
• Validate conceptual and logical data models with clients.
• Assist in analyze database relative to other databases.
• Provide excellent service towards user, in relation to the service request, data and information update in BINUS business unit/ division especially related with reporting and BI dashboard.
• Contribute in designing and applying procedures related to BI dashboard request and also related to database in relation to data authorization, change and withdrawal.
• Maintain data synchronization with ETL (extract transform load) tools across database in Bina Nusantara.
• Ensure all the data complies with legal regulations.
• Maintain good data center in coordination with other IT departments.
• Maintain the quality of data analyst processes.
• Ensure data security and accuracy in all Bina Nusantara business unit/division.
• Improve data information and request by using Data Warehouse (DWH), Big Data and Business Intelligence (BI).
• Maintain the performance and quality of Data Warehouse (DWH), Big Data and Business Intelligence (BI).
• Assist in analyzing user need and automated data request service by using reporting application (data access).
• Create clear documentation in every BI dashboard created.
• Gather and document security requirements.
• Implement and enforce security requirements.
• Maintain and improve security in response to industry developments and user experience.
• Protect corporate data.
• Provide and support development and production environments.
• Plan and deliver user training.
• Adapt existing structure to new business environments.
• Management Support Activities:
  • Provide Report to direct Supervisor.
  • Suggest improvement process related to activities in area of responsibilities (especially related to time concern, effort and cost).
  • Perform activities related to Quality Management System.
  • Perform additional tasks related to key responsibilities as required by Direct Supervisor.
