Job summary

PT Kalbe Farma Tbk. (International Division) seeks an IT Data Engineer Officer to build scalable data infrastructure and enable reliable data integration for analytics and AI projects. You will migrate on-prem data to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), design pipelines, store data in GCS/BigQuery, and implement data governance.

Collaboration with AI/Analytics teams will ensure analytics-ready data for business insights. Onsite work at Pulomas, East Jakarta; strong English skills required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field with minimum GPA 3.00.
• 2–3 years of experience as IT Data Analyst/Data Engineer.
• Experience with Data Warehouse and Data Workflow tools: Azure Data Factory, Airflow, Snowflake, Google Cloud Composer.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc.
• Proficiency with SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.
• GCP Core Services: Data Ingestion/Streaming, Storage and BigQuery, Data Processing (Dataflow/ Dataproc/ Dataplex), Orchestration (Cloud Composer), IAM and Security.
• Proficient in English (written and spoken).
• Willing to work onsite at Pulomas, East Jakarta.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, clean, transform, and structure data for LLMs and Generative AI.
• Collaborate with AI Engineers and Data Analytics teams to provide analytics-ready data.
• Support data solutions for AI/ML and analytics projects.
• Implement partitioning and clustering to optimize query performance and cost.
• Manage workflow orchestration with Cloud Composer and Cloud Workflows.
• Implement data security and CMEK-based measures.

About the Job

This role is responsible for developing and managing scalable data infrastructure, enabling reliable data integration, and supporting advanced analytics and AI-driven projects across the organization. The role will be involved in data migration to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), development of data pipelines, and implementation of data governance practices. In addition, this position collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure data availability and readiness for business insights, as well as to support the adoption of modern data and AI technologies.

What is your responsibility

1. Lead the migration of on-premise data infrastructure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
2. Design and implement scalable Data Pipeline, ETL/ELT workflows, and migration strategies.
3. Develop appropriate data storage strategies using Google Cloud Storage (GCS) and BigQuery.
4. Design and manage data acquisition processes from various internal and external sources.
5. Develop and maintain API integrations to ensure reliable and seamless data flow across systems.
6. Ensure data availability, quality, and accessibility for business and analytical needs.
7. Prepare, clean, transform, and structure structured and unstructured data to support Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI initiatives.
8. Collaborate with AI Engineers and Data Analytics teams to provide high-quality and analytics-ready data.
9. Support the development and implementation of data solutions for AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics projects
10. Implement partitioning and clustering strategies to optimize query performance and manage cloud costs.
11. Manage workflow orchestration and dependencies using Cloud Composer (Apache Airflow) and/or Google Cloud Workflows.
12. Implement data security and compliance measures, including IAM roles, data masking, and Customer-Managed Encryption Keys (CMEK).
13. Promote the adoption of emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and advanced analytics.

Who are we looking for

1. Bachelor's Degree in IT or a related field with a minimum GPA of 3.00
2. Minimum 2 – 3 years of experience as an IT Data Analyst/Data Engineer.
3. Experienced at handling Data Warehouse and Data Workflow tools such as Azure Data Factory, Airflow, Snowflake and Google Cloud Composer
4. Proficiency in object-oriented languages like Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc.
5. Proficiency in software like SQL Server, Oracle Database, or MySQL
6. Mastering the GCP Core Services: Data Ingestion and Streaming, Data Storage & BigQuery, Data Processing and Transformation (Dataflow, Dataproc and Dataplex), Orchestration Workflow (Cloud Composer), and IAM and Security
7. Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
8. Willing to work fully onsite at Pulomas, East Jakarta
