Data Engineer

Job Description

• Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT processes to extract data from various sources, transform it, and load it into data warehouses or data lakes
• Collaborate with data architects and analysts to understand data requirements and ensure data quality and integrity
• Optimize existing ETL workflows for performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Create and maintain documentation related to data pipelines, data flows, and data models
• Monitor ETL jobs and troubleshoot issues to ensure data accuracy and availability
• Implement data validation and quality checks throughout the ETL process
• Support and maintain batch and real-time data integration solutions

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-5 years of experience as Data Engineer, ETL Developer, or similar roles
• Strong experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or Informatica PowerCenter or Pentaho to create and manage ETL pipelines
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) and experience writing complex SQL queries.
• Familiarity with data warehousing and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, etc.) to support automation tasks and data transformations.
• Knowledge of version control tools like Git to manage code and collaboration.
• Solid understanding of data integration, transformation, data pipeline architectures, and data warehousing concepts.
