Job summary

HuntHire is seeking an experienced Data Centre Project Manager to lead on-site testing and commissioning for Indonesia data center projects. The role requires strong engineering expertise and hands-on experience with critical infrastructure systems.

You will coordinate FAT, SAT and third‑party testing, manage multi‑discipline teams, and ensure project milestones, safety and quality targets are met. Fluency in Chinese and English is required for stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years engineering or testing experience.

• Electrical Engineering background preferred; HVAC/MEP acceptable.

About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Data Center Project Manager to lead on-site testing and commissioning activities for data center projects in Indonesia. This role requires strong engineering expertise, hands‑on experience with critical infrastructure systems, and the ability to coordinate technical teams to ensure project milestones, quality standards, and acceptance requirements are met.

What You’ll Do

• Lead on-site testing and commissioning activities throughout the data center project lifecycle.
• Coordinate Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), equipment testing, integrated system testing, and third‑party acceptance processes.
• Oversee testing activities for critical infrastructure, including UPS systems, generators, switchgear, electrical panels, chillers, AHU/CRAC systems, and BMS/DCIM platforms.
• Manage on‑site project schedules, resources, and testing milestones to ensure timely delivery.
• Lead and coordinate teams of 20 or more on‑site personnel, ensuring effective communication and execution.
• Identify technical issues, coordinate troubleshooting, and implement corrective actions to resolve testing and commissioning challenges.
• Maintain testing records, progress reports, and technical documentation in both Chinese and English.
• Conduct project meetings in Chinese and English to align stakeholders on progress, risks, and outstanding issues.
• Ensure testing and commissioning activities comply with project specifications, quality requirements, and applicable safety standards.

What We’re Looking For

• 5–10 years of engineering or testing experience, including at least 3 years of hands‑on data center testing or commissioning experience.
• A technical background in Electrical Engineering is preferred; candidates with HVAC or MEP engineering experience are also welcome.
• Practical experience managing on‑site data center testing delivery, including FAT, SAT, equipment testing, integrated system testing, and third‑party acceptance.
• Strong technical knowledge of key data center infrastructure systems, including:
  • Power Distribution: UPS, generators, switchgear, and electrical panels.
  • HVAC Systems: Chillers, AHU, and CRAC.
  • Monitoring and Control: Building Management Systems (BMS) and Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM).
• Experience with Tier III or Tier IV data center projects is a strong advantage.
• Proven ability to lead 20+ on‑site team members, manage project schedules, and coordinate technical delivery.
• Fluency in both Chinese and English, including the ability to conduct project meetings in Chinese and prepare testing reports in both languages.
• Strong project management, communication, problem‑solving, and stakeholder coordination skills.
