Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Jakarta is seeking a Facilities Engineer for data center environments to monitor and optimize critical infrastructure. You will manage environmental control, power distribution, fire and safety systems, and real-time monitoring to ensure reliability and energy efficiency.

The role requires a technical background in mechanical/electrical controls and experience with building automation and data center systems.

Qualifications

Minimum D3 in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, controls engineering, or related technical field.
Experience with server hardware, networking equipment, and critical facility systems.
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience with building automation systems in critical facilities.
Data center or mission-critical environment experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Environmental Control: Manages precise temperature and humidity levels in server rooms and cooling distribution.
Power Management: Monitors electrical distribution from utility feeds through UPS systems, generators, and PDUs.
Fire and Safety Systems: Integrates fire detection, suppression systems, and emergency response protocols.
Monitoring and Alarming: Provides real-time monitoring and alerts for threshold violations and equipment failures.
Energy Optimization: Implements control strategies to improve cooling efficiency and reduce costs.
