Job summary

CBRE Data Center Solutions is seeking a Facility Engineer (Mechanical) to ensure reliable, efficient and compliant operation of critical mechanical infrastructure in a data centre environment. You will oversee chillers, cooling towers, pumps, CRAH/CRAC, AHUs, water treatment, and fire suppression systems while driving planned maintenance and energy efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma with relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years in mechanical operations & maintenance.
• At least 3 years in a mission-critical environment (data centre preferred).
• Familiarity with CMMS platforms such as Maximo, Corrigo, Planon or similar.
• Experience using BMS/SCADA systems for monitoring critical plant operations.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and English.

Responsibilities

• Perform fault diagnosis and root cause analysis for incidents.

• Prepare MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs, and support change management.
• Supervise Facilities Technicians and guide contractors and vendors.
• Coordinate spare parts planning and lifecycle management.
• Support client reporting, KPI reviews, and audits.
• Participate in drills and emergency response activities while ensuring HSE compliance.

About The Role

Join CBRE Data Center Solutions as a Facility Engineer (Mechanical), responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and efficiency of critical mechanical infrastructure within a mission-critical data centre environment. This role plays a key part in maintaining uptime, supporting operational excellence, and ensuring all systems operate in line with client requirements and CBRE standards.

What You'll Do

• Operate, monitor, and maintain critical mechanical systems including chillers, cooling towers, pumps, CRAH/CRAC units, AHUs, plumbing, water treatment, and fire suppression systems.
• Lead and execute planned preventive maintenance (PPM) activities to ensure asset reliability and performance.
• Review, manage, and close maintenance activities within the CMMS while maintaining accurate documentation and records.
• Perform fault diagnosis, root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions for mechanical incidents.
• Monitor plant performance, environmental conditions, and energy efficiency, identifying opportunities for optimization and continuous improvement.
• Prepare and execute MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs while supporting change management activities and maintenance windows.
• Supervise Facilities Technicians and provide technical guidance, coaching, and competency development.
• Coordinate and supervise specialist contractors, vendors, and OEMs, ensuring compliance with site procedures and safety requirements.
• Support spare parts planning, lifecycle management, quotation requests, and capital improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to client reporting, KPI reviews, incident investigations, audits, and operational meetings.
• Support emergency response activities and participate in drills and critical incident management.
• Ensure compliance with CBRE Health, Safety & Environment policies, permit-to-work systems, and LOTO procedures.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Diploma holders with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical operations and maintenance.
• At least 3 years of experience working within a mission-critical environment, preferably a data centre.
• Strong knowledge of chilled water systems, cooling infrastructure, thermal management, and redundancy concepts such as N+1 and 2N.
• Experience performing troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and root cause analysis within critical environments.
• Familiarity with CMMS platforms such as Maximo, Corrigo, Planon, or similar maintenance management systems.
• Experience using BMS/SCADA systems for monitoring and managing critical plant operations.
• Proven experience supervising technicians, contractors, vendors, and service providers.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and reporting skills.
• Professional working proficiency in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.

Preferred Qualifications

CDCP, CDFOS, K3 Umum/Ahli K3, ISO Internal Auditor, or other relevant mechanical and refrigeration certifications.

Previous experience supporting data centre or other mission-critical facilities operations.
