Data Center Facility Lead - Mechanical Engineer

We are currently partnering with one of the leading data center companies in Indonesia who is looking for a competent Facility Lead to help them in this time of growth.

Job Description

1. Leads and supervises a team of 24x7 specialists, including managing their training needs, planning of duty roster, reviewing of timesheets.
2. Oversees building systems and critical facilities equipment associated with the data centre environment.
3. Understands the design and operations of each building system to obtain cost and operations efficiency of all building systems.
4. Plans and supervises all operations and maintenance programs for the critical facilities environment.
5. Supports the facility manager and acts as Level 2 escalation point for all onsite operational incidents, ensuring all remote requests are performed within SLA.
6. Reviews, validates, and schedules all requests on the internal Web Portal ticketing system such as user requests, changes, incidents, provisioning, etc.
7. Manages contractors and vendors by validating Method of Procedure, Permit-To-Work documents, risk assessments, and compliance with safety procedures.
8. Oversees all preventive and reactive maintenance activities with minimal disruption to company services.
9. Performs root cause analysis on outages serviced by the technical team and acts as 2nd technical SME for Building Engineers and Property Management.
10. Provides feedback on vendors during the contract review process regarding their competency in meeting targets and problem-solving.
11. Leads audit support to external and internal stakeholders, improves SOPs, EOPs, and processes, and ensures adherence to changes.
12. Manages internal access card, CCTV, visitor systems, and assets inventory.

The Successful Applicant

1. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
2. At least 3 years of relevant work experience in a 24x7 operations environment, as well as leading a team of engineers.
3. Good technical knowledge in M&E, Network, CI, DC facilities related systems.
4. Willing to lead and support major data center activities during non-office hours.
5. Knowledgeable about local codes and mandatory facility certifications (Fire codes, lift licensing, etc).
6. Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
