Job description

Responsibilities

• Responsible for collation, preparation and analysis of students completion data
• To coordinate with analytics team on data relating to completion
• Point person to check the data being used by the operations
• Ensure consistency, reliability, and timely reporting of data for decision-making
• Align local analytics with networks standards
• Build and validate models for at-risk students and success factors; coordinate with team data on inputs
• Compute institutional metrics (completion, retention, persistence); prepare reports and lead data discussion
• Design and run program evaluation (e.g. Kasama Hub Coaching), recommending improvement
• Provide analysis for Completion, Learning, Marketing, Operations; support Completion in identifying at-risk students
• Contribute Horizon-specific reports and insight
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of data with Team Data
• Train staff to use dashboards/reports; foster evidence-based decision-making; record methods, models, and processes for replicability

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or data science roles.
• At least 1 year of proven experience in a leadership or managerial capacity overseeing data teams or analytics projects.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in SQL for data querying.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets for data modeling and analysis.
• Familiarity with statistical methods and predictive modeling; Python or R experience is a plus.
• Understanding of data warehouse structures and ETL processes.
