Job summary

Komatsu Mining Technology Solutions in Balikpapan is seeking a data analyst to collect, process, and analyze large data sets to identify trends and insights for improved business decisions in mining operations.

You will build and maintain databases, develop predictive models, create visualizations and dashboards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions for supply chain and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mining, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in data analysis and modelling.

Responsibilities

• Collecting and interpreting large amounts of data from various sources.
• Building and maintaining databases and data systems.
• Identifying and tracking KPIs to measure performance.
• Developing predictive models to improve processes such as supply chain and risk management.
• Creating visualizations, dashboards and reports to communicate insights.

• Staying up-to-date with trends and tools in data analysis and improving analytics skills.
• Providing data and analysis to PA team and proposing initiatives for next cycle.
• Identifying data anomalies and solving data problems.
• Implementing data quality strategies to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Collecting, Process, and performing statical analysis on large sets of data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can help organisations make more informed decisions and improve their business processes.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Collecting and interpreting large amounts of data from various sources
• Building and maintaining databases and data system
• Identifying and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure customer performance.
• Developing predictive models or algorithms to help improve business processes such as supply chain management, risk management, or customer acquisition.
• Creating visualizations, dashboards, and reports to communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Collaborating with cross-functional team to develop data-driven solutions.
• Up to date with the latest trend and tool in data analysis and continuously improve analytical skill.
• Provide data and analysis to PA team.
• Propose initiative based on comprehensive analysis for next PA cycle
• Identifying data anomalies and solving complex data problems
• Developing and implementing data quality strategies to ensure accuracy and completeness of data.
• Work as part of a team to effectively complete required activities (Providing advice or escalation where appropriate).

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in mining, computer science, mathematics, statistical, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 -5 years of hands-on experience in data analysis and modelling
