Are you passionate about expedition cruising and dream of working across some of the world’s most breathtaking archipelagos?

Destination Asia Indonesia is seeking a Cruise Expeditions Account Executive to join our growing Cruise Asia team in Bali. If you thrive in logistics, love the thrill of coordinating remote operations, and want to help showcase the beauty of Wonderful Indonesia to the world — this is your moment.

About the Role

As our Cruise Expeditions Account Executive, you will be the key liaison between cruise clients, internal teams, and local suppliers, ensuring seamless execution of cruise expeditions across Indonesia’s stunning ports and remote destinations. From developing tailored proposals to coordinating ground operations and managing on-the-ground logistics, you’ll play a central role in bringing exceptional expedition cruise experiences to life.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Development:

  • Support the creation of cruise expedition strategies aligned with market trends and client needs.
  • Identify new destinations, routes, and service enhancements to elevate guest experiences.
  • Research competitors and emerging markets to inform product development.

Operations & Execution:

  • Prepare custom cruise proposals and detailed itineraries for expedition clients.
  • Manage all logistics for confirmed cruise calls — permits, guest services, ground handling, and more.
  • Ensure operational readiness at ports and remote locations.
  • Handle administration: budgeting, documentation, invoicing, and reporting.
  • Coordinate with authorities, vendors, and internal teams to guarantee smooth operations.

Leadership & Representation:

  • Serve as the central contact during cruise operations, ensuring service quality and client satisfaction.
  • Represent Destination Asia to cruise clients, government officials, and community stakeholders.
  • Share operational knowledge with the wider cruise team for training and succession planning.
  • Contribute insights to support continuous improvement within the Cruise Asia department.

What We’re Looking For:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in tourism, hospitality, business, or languages.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indonesian destinations and tourism products.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to ports and remote regions.

Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years in the tourism or cruise industry, ideally with a focus on expedition cruises.
  • Experience in logistics coordination, remote destination management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Familiarity with port regulations and tourism operations in Indonesia.

Skills:

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and travel-related software (Travel Studio is a plus).
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and administration abilities.
  • A team player with a service-minded approach and cultural sensitivity.

Why Join Us?

At Destination Asia, you’ll be part of a passionate, multicultural team shaping the future of responsible tourism in one of the world’s most diverse and beautiful regions. We offer a collaborative work culture, opportunities for growth, and the chance to make a real impact in the travel industry.
