Job summary

Syngentagroup in Jakarta seeks a Finance Leader to manage a small team and drive end-to-end sustainable growth for Indonesia and Malaysia. You will partner with senior leaders, oversee P&L analysis, and steer budgeting and forecasting.

Ideal candidates have 12+ years in finance, Big Four exposure is a plus, and excellent communication skills. English fluency is required to coordinate across geographies and functions.

Responsibilities

• Act as strategic business partner to CPLT in ID and MY, including reporting and analysis.

• Lead budgeting and annual forecasting for the Commercial Unit.
• Collaborate within the Finance Leadership Team to advance strategic agendas.

Job description

The role will be responsible for managing a small Finance team to drive E2E sustainable business growth in CP Commercial areas for Indonesia and MalaysiaCollaborate with the Reporting and Tax as part of the Finance Leadership team (FLT) to lead and drive strategic change agendas as required by the business and functions.Deputize for Finance Head in business related meetings with internal or external stakeholders when needed and take bold decisions/actions as required in consultation.Build and continuously maintain a highly functional business facing finance team that is fit for purpose to deliver business results.

Accountabilities

Provide key insights to cross functional teams and support business growth through rigorous evaluation of P&L and key business and operational drivers. High visibility role where this role will work closely with senior business leaders to evaluate business performance and strategic initiatives and to drive delivery of results. Key responsibilities will include:

• Act as strategic business partner to the ID and MY CPLT, including financial reporting and analysis, compliance and process improvement
• Drives delivery of stretched financial performance and targets, including working capital management
• Drives analysis of business performance: sales, pricing, margins, credit management and costs followed by action plan to deliver/exceed targets
• Review monthly/ quarterly forecasts and drive annual budgeting process for the Commercial Unit
• As a member of the country Finance Leadership Team (FLT), be an engaged leader in driving the finance strategic agenda in collaboration with other finance areas (e.g. Business Facing, Finance Operations, Shared Services)

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional accounting certification is preferred.

Minimum 12 years of relevant finance experience.

Prior experience with a Big Four audit firm would be an advantage.

Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across different management levels, functions, and geographies.

Strong interest in understanding the end-to-end business and driving value through effective finance business partnering.

Hands-on problem solver with strong influencing, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.

Self-motivated, results-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
