About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly capable and well-connected Country Operations Manager to act as their eyes and ears on the ground in Indonesia. This individual will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations, managerial controls, and the successful execution of their acquisition strategy across their partner ATS (Alternative Trading System) operator and participant businesses.

This is a hands-on leadership position, critical to ensuring our client's strategic, regulatory, and operational interests are maintained throughout the acquisition and post-integration process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily business operations and enforce managerial controls within our client's Indonesian partner entities.
  • Act as our client's lead local representative during the acquisition of ATS operator and participant businesses.
  • Support legal, compliance, and regulatory efforts throughout the acquisition and integration phases.
  • Coordinate with local partners to ensure seamless implementation of our client's:
    • Financial infrastructure
    • Trading services and product offerings
    • Risk management and compliance frameworks
    • Technology platforms and operational standards
  • Ensure that local business activities align with our client's governance structure and global business strategy.
  • Act as a three-way bank signatory (with our client and partner parties) to ensure secure oversight of local financial flows.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Indonesian regulators, legal counsel, vendors, and key operational staff.
  • Provide weekly reporting to the HQ, including updates on business health, risks, and opportunities.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Finance, Law, or related field.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in financial services, fintech, or capital markets operations.
  • Proven experience in overseeing local operations or leading integration projects within regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with Indonesian financial regulatory bodies (e.g., OJK, Bank Indonesia) and regulatory frameworks for ATS or capital markets.
  • Strong understanding of legal, compliance, and governance standards in cross-border financial operations.
  • Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
