ROLE:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Country Manager to lead our additives and advanced materials business in Indonesia. This role will also serve as the Country Leader and Director of the Board, providing strategic leadership and operational oversight. The position includes managing two direct reports and being responsible for the overall performance and growth of Lubrizol's additives business in the region.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve or exceed the sales targets and business objectives for the additives and advanced materials sector in Indonesia.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understand their needs, and provide tailored solutions.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and threats. Provide insights and recommendations to the management team.
  • Sales Process Management: Manage the sales process from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring efficient and effective sales operations.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and guide two direct reports, ensuring their professional development and performance alignment with organizational goals.
Country Leader Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Oversee all company operations in Indonesia, ensuring alignment with global strategies and local market needs.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments including marketing, technical service, supply chain, and finance to ensure integrated efforts towards business success and customer satisfaction.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with Lubrizol’s policies, ethical standards, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Oversight: Oversee the financial performance of the Indonesia business unit, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage risks associated with the business operations in Indonesia.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports and forecasts, analyze performance metrics, and present findings and recommendations to regional and global senior management.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of sales experience in the chemical or additives industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Board experience is an advantage.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of the additives and advanced materials market in Indonesia.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and industry stakeholders.
    • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficient in using CRM software and MS Office Suite.
    • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Language: Proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
