Job description

Country Manager represents Kalbe International in a foreign country. The Country Manager works within growing industries experiencing global expansion to drive revenue growth and manage the P&L by successfully overseeing all company objectives, lines of business (ethical, OTC & consumer), and supporting departments to meet and exceed business goals through collaboration with regulatory bodies, distributors, and agencies.

Responsibilities

  1. Manage all operations within a country, taking responsibility for profit, revenue, cash flow, and quality targets.
  2. Collaborate with Head Office on strategic initiatives for business expansion (organic & inorganic) and implement business plans.
  3. Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies for Ethical, OTC, and Consumer products, monitor performance, and drive execution.
  4. Manage P&L and operational budgets, aiming to exceed sales and margin commitments.
  5. Supervise supporting functions such as Finance, HR, Supply Chain, IT, and administration to support business operations.
  6. Develop strategic partnerships with distributors and set sales strategies for each brand, including monitoring distributor performance.
  7. Create, execute, and monitor marketing plans and strategic directions for each brand to achieve marketing objectives and agency performance.
  8. Build strong relationships with key accounts and customers in government and private sectors to better understand market needs.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance & Accounting, or Pharmacy.
  2. Minimum of 3 years experience as a Country Manager in Ethical, OTC, Consumer, or International Trading within Pharmaceuticals or FMCG companies.
  3. Proficiency in English, both verbal and written, is required.
  4. Strong people-management skills and sensitivity to cultural norms.
  5. Placement in one of the countries in Asia or Africa.
