Hatch Asia has been selected as the executive search partner to lead a confidential search for an extremely dynamic startup in Southeast Asia. We are seeking a Managing Director/Country Manager to oversee operations in one of its core markets.

The role will be responsible for driving top-line growth within the core market and implementing strategies that propel the company towards its goals. A key focus will be rallying cross-functional teams to align strategy and execution to ensure success.

The Challenges

  1. Strategy: Spearhead the development and execution of strategies to drive revenue growth and expand market presence. This includes conducting market analysis and competitive research to identify growth opportunities and trends. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize initiatives aligned with the company's vision and objectives.
  2. Growth: Lead initiatives to acquire and retain users, driving revenue. Utilize data-driven insights to optimize marketing, user experience, and product offerings. Identify new market segments and expand into new geographical areas. Work closely with teams to develop and launch new features, products, and services.
  3. Strategic Operations: Oversee daily operations, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Streamline workflows, optimize resources, and implement best practices for efficiency and scalability. Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including investors, partners, regulators, and industry associations.

What It Takes

  • Proven success in a senior leadership role within a growth-stage startup or fast-paced technology environment.
  • Strong understanding of B2B and B2C business models, with experience in scaling businesses and driving revenue growth.
  • Exceptional strategic and lateral thinking skills, with the ability to translate vision into actionable results.
  • Experience in Southeast Asia is a significant advantage.
