About the Role

An exciting opportunity has opened for a seasoned Head of Finance to lead financial strategy and operations for a multinational organisation based in Jakarta, Indonesia. This role will be pivotal in driving financial governance, business performance, and strategic alignment with global objectives.

You will oversee the full spectrum of finance operations — from planning, budgeting, and reporting to compliance, treasury, and risk management, while partnering with local and international stakeholders to enable data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead, coach, and inspire the Finance and Accounting team to deliver strategic objectives.

  • Drive initiatives around financial transformation, cost optimisation, and process improvement.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on financial planning and strategic priorities.

Financial Management

  • Oversee planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

  • Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting in compliance with IFRS and local regulations.

  • Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent revenue leakage.

Taxation & Compliance

  • Oversee corporate, VAT, and withholding tax compliance.

  • Liaise with external auditors, consultants, and regulators.

  • Ensure adherence to local GAAP, company policies, and audit requirements.

Treasury & Risk

  • Manage cash flow, credit control, foreign exchange exposure, and working capital.

  • Conduct financial risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.

Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with global and regional finance teams to align business plans and performance metrics.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to evaluate investment decisions and resource allocation.

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive finance digitalisation and ERP system optimisation (SAP experience preferred).

  • Identify and implement opportunities for operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 12 years of finance experience in a multinational environment.

  • At least 8 years in a managerial capacity leading diverse teams.

  • Strong expertise in financial planning, forecasting, cost control, and reporting.

  • In-depth understanding of IFRS, Indonesian tax laws, and Indonesian GAAP.

  • MBA or CA qualification is required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP (ERP) systems.

  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally and operate across time zones.
