Job summary

PT Akarsa Garment Indonesia is seeking a Cost Controller to oversee cost accounting, budget monitoring, and variance analysis in a garment manufacturing environment.

You will verify cost documentation, input real costs, and reconcile data with the Accounting team while coordinating with Finance, Purchasing, Production, and PPIC to ensure accuracy and traceability of every transaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum D3/S1 qualification in Accounting, Financial Management, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience in Cost Accounting, Product Costing, or Accounting in manufacturing/garment companies.
• Understanding of COGS and production costs, including raw materials, labor, and production overhead.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PivotTable, SUMIFS, and XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP.
• ERP or accounting system experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure completeness and accuracy of cost submission documents against budget, PO/contract, RAB/RAP, and supporting documents.
• Monitor budget usage and actual cost realization, ensuring expenditures align with established budget.
• Input and update actual cost realization based on verified transaction documents.
• Compare budget with actual costs and identify variances and potential cost overruns.
• Verify expenditures exceeding budget or inconsistent with documents and communicate findings.
• Reconcile cost data and realization with the Accounting team to ensure monitoring data accuracy.
• Ensure each transaction is traceable based on documents, PO, project, or cost center, and help prevent duplicate cost charges.
• Prepare budget, realization, and cost variance reports, and coordinate with Finance, Accounting, Purchasing, Production, PPIC, and Warehouse teams regarding document completeness and variance resolution.

This role involves cost accounting and budget monitoring responsibilities, including verification of cost documentation, monitoring budget utilization and actual costs, inputting and updating cost realization based on verified transaction documents, comparing budget with actual costs to identify variances and potential cost overruns, and reconciling cost data with the Accounting team.

About you

Minimum D3/S1 qualification in Accounting, Financial Management, or related field

Minimum 2 years experience in Cost Accounting, Product Costing, or Accounting, preferably from manufacturing/garment companies

Understanding of COGS and production costs, including raw materials, labor, and production operational costs

Ability to compare budget with actual costs and analyze variances

Understanding of raw material inventory management and recording, production processes, and finished goods

Understanding of stock opname processes and data reconciliation

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly PivotTable, SUMIFS, and XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP

ERP or accounting system experience is an advantage

Detail-oriented, analytical, with strong communication and coordination abilities

Willing to conduct verification and data checks at production areas when required
